A review at the time damned the film with faint praise: "The much-talked about Aelita was received by worker audiences in the provinces with considerable doubt as to its usefulness". Movie: Stonewall (1995) — The story of a pivotal moment in the history of the modern gay and lesbian rights movement, when patrons of New York's Stonewall Inn rebelled against police harassment in 1969. ABC-TV, Tuesday, February 20, 11pm.

Michael Moore: The Awful Truth — Moore turns up at Kenneth Starr's inquiry with a team dressed as Salem puritans to conduct their own witch hunt into Bill Clinton's prosecutors, and mocks a private health company into changing its heartless rules on the funding of surgery. SBS, Tuesday, February 20, 8pm.

Arafat: The Struggle for Palestine — Now aged 69 and suffering from Parkinson's Disease, Yasser Arafat has survived countless assassination attempts and 12 different Israeli leaders. This program promises a comprehensive profile of the Palestinian leader. SBS, Tuesday, February 20, 8.30pm.

Movie: A Queer Story (1996) — Shu Kei's film centres on a marriage counsellor, who braves family pressure and social discrimination to lead a gay life. From Hong Kong. SBS, Tuesday, February 20, 10pm.
