Why

We remember the 10 brave men who gave their lives in 1981 on Hunger Strike in order to gain status as political prisoners.

In 1981, Ireland entered a dark phase of the "troubles" as 10 brave men died on Hunger Strike seeking political status as prisoners of war against British Imperialism. We remember these brave men and all Irish Patriots who have given the ultimate sacrifice in search of Irish unity and the end of a British prescence in Ireland.

We will have a ceremony on the day to remember our brave patriots. This will be followed by live music and entertainment.

We look forward to welcoming all Irish patriots to the Irish Club to remember the struggle of our heroes. Book tickets here: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/40th-anniversary-of-the-hunger-strikers-of-1981-tickets-131668511061
