Can't You Hear the Wind Howl? — Actor Danny Glover takes us on an evocative and enthralling journey through the short life of seminally influential bluesman Robert Johnson. Contemporary blues musician Keb' Mo' Johnson. SBS, Saturday 10, 8.30pm.

Kurt Gerron's Karussell — This haunting and chilling documentary portrays the life of cabaret artist and director Kurt Gerron (1887-1944), who was a star in the Berlin of the 1920s and the original performer of Mack the Knife. When the Nazis came to power, he and other artists ended up in the Theresienstadt concentration camp, where Gerron organised cabaret performances under the title of Karussell (Carousel). Global Village: A Life-Long Mission — Bill Langlois, retired merchant seaman from Sydney, is also an anti-war crusader who has spent his whole life fighting for others' working rights and social justice. SBS, Tuesday, February 13, 6pm.

Movie: The Einstein of Sex (1999) — The story of world-famous sexologist Dr Magnus Hirschfeld, a Jewish gay socialist, who opened the Institute of Sexual Science in 1920s Berlin. SBS, Tuesday, February 13, 10pm.

The Vietnam War: A Descent into Hell — US President Lyndon Johnson faced a collapsing South Vietnamese regime, as coup after coup destabilised the country. Johnson's obsession with election victory in 1964 influenced US policy towards Vietnam. ABC-TV, Wednesday, February 14, 11pm.
