Why

Break Away exhibition is showcasing the works of local and international artists in response to Woman Life Freedom Revolution.

This exhibition is commemorating the one-year anniversary since the death of Mahsa Jina Amini in the hands of the Islamic Republic's Morality Police. Many groups all around the world are gathering at this time and using this occasion as a reason to remember what we have fought for, and plan their next steps.

Please see our Instagram account @feminista.melbourne for more information on the theme of Break Away, and to get to know the exhibiting artists.

This is a chance for our community to connect, share our experiences and advocate for our families and friends. This year, September has a special meaning for all of us.

By purchasing a ticket you will make it possible for us to cover the costs of organising the exhibition and providing an opportunity to the artists to showcase their work.

If you are able and willing, you can donate more and cover the cost of a ticket for someone else who is not able to afford it, and make it possible for more people to participate in this event.

For more information, and to request a reduction on ticket fee if you are experiencing financial hardship, please visit @feminista.melbourne on Instagram or email us at feminista.melbourne@gmail.com
