Socialist web site praised
The glossy Internet.au magazine took a stroll on the radical side in its June issue with a review of the web site of the Democratic Socialist Party. It said:
"At some point in our lives we've all had a copy of the Green Left Weekly thrust upon us. Well, this is the publisher, the party, the movement and the web site behind this Lefty newspaper. While former communist countries unashamedly embrace capitalism, the Democratic Socialist Party continues to rally against it.
"The DSP web site unites socialist sympathisers and is a great introduction to the movement. This is a well designed and constructed site. Every DSP publication appears on the site — the Green Left Weekly, the Activist, Resist and Party Campaigner.
"There's a brilliant educational section introducing visitors to the basics of Socialist and Marxist theory so you can learn why capitalism is an inhumane system which oppresses women, encourages racism and alienates people.
"There's lots of links to other Left-wing sites and a press release and media section, but as the site warns: 'Don't believe everything you read in the Capitalist press'.
"Verdict: Join the revolution."
