The Australia-Cuba Friendship Society Brisbane held a car convoy on July 18 to protest the United States' blockade on Cuba.

Activists expressed solidarity with the Cuban revolution following unprecedented protests in Cuba over food and medicine shortages.

 The US government’s criticism of the Cuban government is hypocritical given the blockade is an act of war that has caused severe economic hardship on the island for over six decades.
