SYDNEY On an internet increasingly dominated by slick corporate web sites advertising their latest products and full of information of (at best) dubious reliability, it's a welcome change to see something completely different.
ResWeb, the web site of Resistance, opens with that picture of Che Guevara and provides valuable resources to people wanting to join the struggle, including printable posters, leaflets, and information on how to start up a Resistance club. One section, What Socialists Stand For, explains Resistance's political standpoint and views.
It also provides access to an archive of the Resistance e-zine, which has updates of campaigns, analysis of issues and current affairs, reviews of books, movies, music.
The web site even has a games section, including The Blockade, in which players are invited to relive the experience of S11, dodging scary-looking, baton-wielding police to keep the protest happening.
Throughout the site is a constant theme; as the first screen puts it: Get off the web and into action.
