Humane solutions for asylum seekers will be discussed at a forum “Defying the Border Force Act” on Tuesday September 1 at 6.30pm at the Multicultural Hub, 506 Elizabeth St, Melbourne. It is being organised by Refugee Action Collective. The speakers are: Christine Cummins, a psychiatric nurse at Christmas Island; Christine Craic, national vice-president of the Australian Association of Social Workers; and Nathan Kennedy, president of Australian Lawyers for Human Rights.

For 100 weeks, activists have been protesting outside AGL’s HQ in North Sydney. Come and join in on Wednesday September 2 at 10.30am at 101 Miller St, North Sydney. AGL is fracking in Camden, south west of Sydney right next to homes and schools, and it wants to frack in Gloucester. Ecopella will be performing.
