Supporters of justice for Julian Assange continue to highlight his imprisonment and possible extradition to the United States at weekly protests in the CBD.
About 20 people demonstrated near the British Consulate on March 28, following the latest hearing to avoid extradition to the US on “espionage” charges.
Fears are held for Assange’s health. He has had a stroke and was unable to attend a recent hearing.
Many say Prime Minister Anthony Albanese could pressure the United States to release Assange who is being targeted because WikiLeaks revealed US war crimes.
