Lucky Dube give-aways!

South Africa's leading reggae star, Lucky Dube, is again to tour Australia. Those who witnessed Dube's two previous tours marvelled at this performer's inexhaustible energy and total commitment to ending racial discrimination in his homeland and worldwide.

Dube will again be backed by the 12-person band, the Slaves, who have themselves recently released an album in South Africa.

During his last tour of Australia, Lucky Dube was inspired to write the song "Different Colours, One People" after becoming involved in the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission's anti-racism campaign of the same name. The song appears on Dube's latest album, Victims (Dolphin through BMG), and has been released as a single.

Lucky Dube's tour dates are: Melbourne — Thursday, November 18, the Metro; Sydney — Friday, November 19, Selinas; Gold Coast — Wednesday, December 1, the Playroom; Brisbane — Thursday, December 2, the Site.

The first two Green Left Weekly readers to call 690 1220 on Thursday, November 18 after 5.45 p.m. will each score a double pass to Lucky Dube's Sydney concert. The first three callers from outside NSW will each receive a copy of Lucky's "Different Colours, One People" CD single.
