Newtown on the Thames

A Man for All Seasons, by Robert Bolt, is now playing at the New Theatre in King St, Newtown (Sydney). Frank McNamara (pictured, right) is excellent as Sir Thomas More — upright, conscientious, emotional and eventually caught in the trap prepared by Thomas Cromwell (left, played by John Rado). The play brings to life London and the intrigues of Henry VIII and those around him. Altogether, it provides a very thought-provoking evening. — Emlyn Jones
