Why

Join the Our Race Community at the October 6 rally on Gadigal Land and then continue with us for an afternoon/early evening of film, music, food and connections.

The main aim of this event is to encourage as many people as possible to attend the October 6th rally across australia and for those who will be attending the rally on Gadigal Land, you can continue with a group of us for community screening of Palestine Under Siege, music and sharing a meal.

It is time we encourage our friends and families to attend, even if they haven't been to a rally before or haven't been for a while. We must mark this in our diaries as it is one year of continuous bombing and massacres, of siege and starvation, in which an estimated 180,000+ Gazans have been killed, a third of them children.

A year of lies and racist dehumanisation of the Palestinian victims of this genocide. A year of governments around the world, including Australia and the US, continuing to support and arm Israel.

We need huge mobilisations around the world to stand with the Palestinian people and demand an end to the systematic massacre, starvation and destruction of Gaza and the West Bank.

Israel's killing and oppression of the Palestinian people did not begin on 7 October, and is not limited to Gaza. Israel is escalating the violent ethnic cleansing of the West Bank and Jerusalem. We march on 6 October 2024 to remind the world that the struggle for Palestinian liberation has been ongoing for over 76+ years, and will not end until Palestine is free, from the river to the sea!

After the march at Town Hall make your way up to Darlinghurst for music, a community film screening of Palestine Under siege and food provided by Parliament on King.

All proceeds to go to APAN with a raffle raising funds for mutual aid requests in Palestine.

And for those who would like to support/volunteer the planning and/or running of the event, please contact doug@ourrace.com.au. We welcome your voice and input.
