Why

March 30th is Land Day, marking the anniversary of the 1976 general strike and marches organised by Palestinian citizens of Israel in response to escalated land grabs by the Occupation State. Palestinians in the West Bank, Gaza and Lebanon-based refugee camps also went on strike on this day in solidarity with Palestinians in Israel.

Israel responded to the protests by murdering six unarmed Palestinians and injuring and arresting hundreds.

On March 30th this year, we will mark Land Day in Magan-djin with a banner drop from the Victoria Bridge, meeting at Reddacliff Place (266 George St, Brisbane CBD) at 4pm.

Bring your flags and your keffiyehs and join us in commemorating this act of resistance against the theft of Palestinian land by the Occupation State, nearly 50 years on.
