8:30am Wednesday 18 December

Where

West Perth WA 6005
Australia

Why

Despite a record number of community submissions, the WA government has put Australia’s climate last by approving the extension of Australia’s oldest and dirtiest gas plant until 2070! The would make Woodside’s Burrup Hub the most polluting gas project in the Southern Hemisphere while also threatening UNESCO World Heritage-nominated Murujuga rock art. Woodside still awaits a decision from the Federal Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek at a federal level.
Now is the time to put pressure on our federal politicians to ensure they reject Woodside's filthy gas extension and protect our climate, culture and future. This is our chance to make sure real climate action is on the Federal Government agenda heading into the new year. Join us outside MP Patrick Gorman's office to let him know that all we want this year is this: no more gas! PS. Bring a friend, and wear a Santa hat if you have one!
