Why

This is a one day festival highlighting the voices of an inclusive writing community here in Boorloo (Perth). We hope you will join us as we take the first steps towards greater equity in the arts scene in WA. We are delighted to confirm that award winning writer Sara Saleh will be the keynote speaker, alongside several other amazing WA based writers. There will be workshops, panels, readings and book launches throughout the day.

The Writers' Collective fosters diversity, inclusion, and equity in literary arts, we amplify underrepresented voices and create a supportive community for writers of all backgrounds. Join us for the 2025 Storyfest.

We are grateful for the support of the University of Western Australia for providing the venue for this event.

We also acknowledge the support of Westerly, UWAP, UWA, Rabble Books and Games and the Blue Room Theatre.
