A giant letter demanding Prime Minister Anthony Albanese push harder to have Julian Assange released from Belmarsh Prison was read out outside his electoral office on July 3.
Assange is an Australian citizen who faces charges under the United States Espionage Act. The US is trying to have him extradited for revealing its war crimes.
Only two people were allowed into the PM’s office by the two Federal Police, who have become a fixture at the weekly protest. HONK FOR JULIAN protests are held every Thursday at 11am outside the PM’s electoral office at 334A Marrickville Road, Marrickville.
“It is a cacophony of support for Julian’s immediate freedom,” one protester said.
