Progressive gift-giving
Just in case you haven't ventured near a shopping centre in the past few weeks, there is something you may need to know. Those who celebrate Christmas will be doing so in a matter of weeks.
That means the shops are full to the brim with a mind-boggling array of "stuff": some useful, but most not, and all of it far too expensive. There is — according to the burgeoning amount of advertising on TV, in the newspapers, fliers and the stores themselves — "something for everyone". You just have to spend enough time fighting your way down the aisles to find every gift you could possibly imagine ... every gift with two special exceptions, that is.
What can you give a friend or relative who may not have everything, but definitely needs a weekly update on all the progressive news, issues and debates happening here and around the globe? It's clear to us.
