Pablo Neruda's Love Poems — The Chilean poet Pablo Neruda was born Ricardo Eliecer Neftali Reyes y Basoalto in the small town of Parral. Neruda travelled widely in the diplomatic service from 1927 to 1938. After joining the Communist Party in 1939, he visited the USSR, China and Eastern Europe. In 1944 he was elected to Chile's senate. Two years later, when he published letters denouncing the government, Neruda was charged with treason and fled to Mexico. Returning to Chile in 1952, he began his long literary career, producing more than 40 volumes of poetry, translations and drama. He won the 1971 Nobel literature prize. He died in 1973. Paco Peña in concert
— Andalusian flamenco came from north Africa during the time of the Moors. Peña was recorded live during his second tour to Australia with seven dancers, four guitarists and three singers. He discovered these performers in his home town of Cordoba and was captivated by their raw energy and ability to communicate the feel of flamenco whose roots are a fusion of Moorish chant, Jewish liturgical music and Indian gypsy music.
