Why

Friends, would love for you to come along & join the Rising Tide crew for an info event on how to engage in direct, non-violent climate action.

ABC science journalist Bernie Hobbs will chair a panel of experts and activists to discuss why we need mass movements for social change, and how we build them. Program includes:

🌊 launch of Rising Tide Sydney's plan to turn out 10,000 people to Newcastle for the People's Blockade of the World's Largest Coal Port

🌊 an invitation to a direct action kayaking across Sydney Harbour the next morning,

🌊 an activist raffle with special prizes to be collected at the 2024 Blockade, and

🌊 live music!
