Why

Join us next Saturday for a snap action march in protest against the decision not to label the Great Barrier Reef as "in danger". Our reef is fragile and precious and we cannot allow it to die.

The Australian government has put one of the 7 natural wonders of the world at risk of collapse by actively lobbying against UNESCO's decision to label the Great Barrier Reef as "in danger." There are tens of billions of corals on the Great Barrier Reef that knit together to form a giant mass that is most certainly, definitely, no doubt about it, in danger.(The Guardian)
But there's still hope! Australia will come up before the committee again in 6 months time after a monitoring period. We must ACT to protest this abhorrent decision and convince the World Heritage Organisation, and the Australian government that we place the survival of our reef above fossil fuel profits and we MUST protect it.
