Socialist to contest Wills

By Dave Holmes

MELBOURNE — The Democratic Socialist Party has announced that it will contest the Wills by-election. The party has selected Bob Lewis, a 40 year-old employee of the RMIT Student Representative Council.

Lewis, a long-time left activist, will be aiming to offer a clear political choice to voters fed up with the right-wing, big-business agenda of both Labor and the Liberals.

The party hopes the campaign can contribute to developing a broad progressive alternative to the increasingly discredited two-party system. For further information or to get involved, contact Bob Lewis's campaign committee on 329 1277.
