Protesters staged a ‘die-in’ outside foreign minister Penny Wong’s office in Kaurna Yerta/Adelaide as part of the #A15 international day of action on April 15.

The protest aimed to highlight Wong and the Labor government's complicity in Israel’s genocide in Gaza, in which more than 30,000 Palestinians have been killed, almost half of them children.

Protesters said Wong had failed to cancel weapons contracts with Israel, including a $1.2 billion contract with Israeli weapons company Elbit Systems.

In a press release, an organiser of the action said “We point our finger at Penny Wong and hold her responsible for the bombings of hospitals and schools”.

“There is blood on the hands of the Australian government and the stench of innocent blood spilt has awakened within us a force that cannot be diminished.”
