The Latin America-wide satellite television station Telesur is set to increase its broadcasting five-fold in 2006, reaching 10 million people worldwide, Telesur president Andres Izarra said on January 26 at the World Social Forum in Caracas. As well as being transmitted from Venezuela to Colombia, Argentina, Cuba, Brazil, Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru and Central America, the station also broadcasts on the internet. New programs will be launched this year, including the International Round Table, dedicated to analysing current issues with guests from around the world.
