Activists rallied outside Warren Entsch's office on November 3 as part of a series of actions in Cairns during COP26. Entsch is the Liberal National Party MP for Leichhardt in Far North Queensland.
"The people of Cairns continue to fight for the survival of the reef, and our livelihoods that rely upon it," said rally organiser and Socialist Alliance candidate Renee Lees.
"Warren Entsch is one of those within the LNP who talks up net zero in public, but loyally votes with the government for environmental destruction every time," she said.
"The science is clear that you can have the reef or coal/gas, but not both."
