Woman, Life, Freedom: Behind the Uprising in Iran

Conferences & public forums
Naarm/Melbourne

Where

Resistance Centre, Level 5, 407 Swanston Street
Melbourne VIC 3000
Australia

Why

The mass uprising in Iran is in response to the killing of Jina Mahsa Amini by Iran's morality police. Despite intense repression from the Iranian authorities, including the killing of protesters, masses of people have maintained the uprising. This is an inspiration to all those fighting for a better world.

The movement has been driven by opposition to the regime’s treatment of women and protesters who are actively resisting severe repression by the government.

Find out more about the uprising and how we can build solidarity with the movement at this public forum.
