Movie: Ghosts of the Civil Dead — John Hillcoats' brutal account of a "lockdown" in a maximum security prison stars David Field and Nick Cave. SBS, midnight, Friday, June 24.

David Lynch — An insight into film maker David Lynch, including clips from Eraserhead, Elephant Man, Dune, Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart and Twin Peaks. The program also features interviews with Laura Dern, Nick Cage and John Hurt. SBS, 4.30am, Friday, June 24.

As Long as the Rivers Flow — A four-part documentary series focusing on the Native Canadian search for self-determination. SBS, 3.30pm, Saturday, June 25.
