Drop the Dead Donkey — The long-awaited return of this British comedy has unfortunately been disappointing. After the biting satire of Frontline, Drop the Dead Donkey falls a little short. SBS, 8.30pm, Saturday, November 5.

Eat Carpet — Short and smart film and video. Tonight's selection includes films on World War II and a thought-provoking experimental animation about the nuclear threat. SBS, 11.25pm, Saturday, November 5.

The Cutting Edge: Empty Arms, Broken Hearts — Jacqueline Gillespie examines the emerging problem of international parental child abduction. She travels from Morocco to the USA and Switzerland to compare situations. SBS, 8.30, Tuesday, November 8.
