Frontline — The acclaimed comedy series that sends up the commercial current affairs television returns to take the mickey out of chequebook journalism, hidden cameras, puffed-up anchors and the other aspects that make tabloid television unwatchable. ABC TV, Monday, July 24, 8pm.

Movie: Dear Sarah (1990) — The story of the frame-up following the bombing of the Guildford pub in 1974, through the eyes of Sarah Conlon, mother of Gerry Conlon, one of those falsely accused. SBS, Monday, July 24, 9.30pm.

Lebanon: Bits and Pieces — Lebanese film maker Olga Nakkas returned after seven years to make this documentary about the women of Lebanon, their culture and problems. SBS, Wednesday, July 26, 8.30pm.

Rule Britannia — A documentary that seeks to unravel the political chicanery, secret alliances, international manipulations and greed for oil which were the background to the Malvinas (Falklands) war in 1982. It examines in depth how British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher allowed hundreds of Argentine sailors on the warship General Belgrano to be killed even while a peace plan was in the offing. SBS, Thursday, July 27, 8.30pm.

Born in Soweto — This Australian-made doco records the hopes, frustrations and ambitions of a wide variety of residents of Soweto, the sprawling 4-million strong "township" that is synonymous with South Africa. SBS, Friday, July 28, 8.30pm.
