Green River Run — By Merv Lilley. Green River Run is an original mix of drama, song and poetry, set in the Australian canefields in the 1930s. This was a turbulent time, when the canecutters fought the employers to eliminate Wiels disease, caused by rat urine. Workers went on strike to force the bosses to burn the cane before cutting. ABC Radio National, Sunday, September 15, 3.05pm.

Roy Bailey — Recorded live. Bailey comes from the old school of "folk music as social comment" with the likes of Billy Bragg and Rory McCleod. His nickname, "the people's spokesperson" is well deserved. ABC Radio National, Saturday, September 21, 10.05pm.

Rex and Atlanta Go Jet Jet — By Vanessa Holt. There's rock, there's rap, there's rebellion against a repressive regime in this comic fantasy thriller with seriously sinister undertow. ABC Radio National, Sunday, September 22, 3.05pm.
