Gathering Ground: history ceremony protest Gathering Ground is a major initiative, a multi-artform promenade performance at the Block, Redfern. The work will be created by more than 20 of the hottest Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists in the country.
At sunset on November 16, 17 and 18, audiences will be invited onto Gadigal land and taken on a journey through the Block. Gathering Ground draws new visitors into the incredible history and culture that exists right in the heart of the city.
Part ceremony, part protest, part historical walk, Gathering Ground is a kick-arse hip-hop skateboarding aerial video extravaganza.
Gathering Ground introduces audiences to a rich neighbourhood that makes up a huge part of our national history. Redfern's Block - complex neighbourhood? Cultural icon? Come and see for yourself.
