Around 200 people joined a "Walk for Peace and Unity in Zimbabwe" on June 8, organised by the group Australians Supporting Zimbabwe. Gathering at the Peace Pagoda at South Bank, they walked along the Brisbane River bank to Davies Park for an information session and BBQ.

ALP Senator Claire Moore expressed her solidarity with the people of Zimbabwe. Rally organiser Mitch Thompson said that the leader of Zimbabwe's Movement for Democratic Change, Morgan Tsvangirai, was aware of the Brisbane march and appreciated the support.

The Australians for Zimbabwe campaign is seeking donations of support. Email Just Rights Queensland at campaign@justrightsqld.org.
