Colectivo Mujer and the Addison Road Gallery in Marrickville, Sydney invite you to “Latinas: Our Origins, Our Voices”. This cultural event will celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8.

Colectivo Mujer is a group of women from Latin America and elsewhere who strongly identify with our cultures that recognise the contribution of women and men to ever-evolving feminisms.

Colectivo Mujer is pleased to present this event of music, oral stories and visual projections. It aims to highlight the often-hidden historical and cultural contributions of women artists and activists demanding a more just society.

The event is a fundraiser to help Colectivo Mujer. It will help organise events prioritising gender and social justice issues relating to Latin American and Spanish speaking women in Australia.

“Latinas: Our Origins, Our Voices” will be held at 6.30pm on March 8 at Addison Road Gallery, 142 Addison Rd, Marrickville. It is supported by Addison Road Gallery, Addison Road Centre, The Latin American Social Forum, Sydney Action for Juarez and NSW Spanish and Latin American Association for Social Assistance.
