Thousands of unionists rallied around Australia on April 10 in the latest round of Change the Rules protests.
The largest rally was in Melbourne, where more than a 100,000 workers walked off the job and took to the streets for several hours. Members of the Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union, who have faced threats from the Australian Building and Construction Commission for taking action, took part in the march.
Speakers celebrated the recent victory for Chemist Warehouse workers as an example that strike action wins.
Held just days after the budget, unions used the rallies to push their campaign for a pay rise.
Unions are now preparing for another round of Change the Rules protests on May Day.
