Suzanne James interviewed Beverly Baker, chairperson of Older Women’s Network (OWN) about the Voluntary Assisted Dying Bill 2021 and why OWN decided on September 30 to support of the Bill, having previously been publicly neutral on the issue.

Baker also explained the support provided by OWN to older women, who are increasingly at risk of poverty and homelessness amid systemic government defunding of vital services. The interview was conducted on October 1 via Zoom.
