Speakers denounced the United States role in the coup against the socialist government of Salvador Allende in 1973 at a rally outside the US Consulate on September 11. Thousands of people were killed in the coup and its aftermath.
They also denounced the ongoing US interference in Latin America, including its economic war against Cuba and Venezuela, which is causing severe hardship to the people of those countries.
