Councils need to take a decisive stand against Israel's genocide.
City of Sydney Council was the first Council in NSW to pass a Disclose to Divest motion from Israel. They gave themselves three months to disclose their links with Israel.
Sydney Council is overdue to disclose.
Late September 2024 was their time to let ratepayers of Gadigal-Country Sydney know if we are paying for Israel’s genocide against Palestine and current assault on Lebanon.
On September 14 2024, Sydney residents elected a new Sydney Council in the NSW council elections. Sydney councillors will be sworn in in a public swearing in session on Thursday October 8th at 5.30pm at Sydney Town Hall.
Come wear your kufiyyeh, a Palestinian or Lebanese flag and show Sydney councillors that the Palestine solidarity movement wants them to completely divest from genocidal Israel.
The first Sydney Council meeting is Monday 28th October, 5pm.
City of Sydney for Palestine will rally at 4.30pm before this Council meeting too.
