Socialist Alliance have endorsed former City of Greater Geelong Councillor Sarah Hathway as our candidate for Corio in the upcoming Federal Election. We are taking on the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for War, Richard Marles, head on, and plan to expose the ALPs drive for war and weapons manufacturing at the expense of addressing the cost of living and housing crises.
Our campaign is about building a radical political alternative to the major parties that prioritises the needs of the working class and the environment, not greedy corporations.
Richard Marles has been an apologist for the ongoing genocide in Gaza. The Federal ALP government has operated as a pale imitation of the Liberal Party on many issues. And the Liberal-National Party is appealing to the extreme right.
We want to put pressure on Marles and the ALP with a left-wing candidate who supports working class policies, is against the genocide in Gaza and wants to see strong climate action.
