Video: Why was the Fremantle Zim picket so successful?
Green Left's Alex Bainbridge spoke with Socialist Alliance member Sam Wainwright, a leading member of the newly-formed Unionists for Palestine, about the successful December 2 community pickets at the Port of Fremantle.
The picket shut down the Israeli-owned ZIM ship for 24 hours, costing the company roughly $250,000.
Wainwright said the blockade was successful because the majority of the workforce turned around and went home instead of trying to cross the picket line.
