March: GLW distributors in the mall moved on by council inspectors. Phone calls to Adelaide City Council; no response

March 27: Council letter requiring $10/week or $2/day per person.

May 8: GLW told to move on in Central Market. Request to market management; no response.

May 15: UTLC motion of support for GLW in streets.

May 20: Letter to lord mayor. No response.

May 20: Further letter to council for permission.

June 2: Council written advice: no permission without fee or for free one Friday a year.

June 24: Council advice that no rallies or public demonstrations allowed in Rundle Mall due to "public safety".

June 25: GLW support statement signed by 26 organisations sent to council and lord mayor. No response.

July 1 Further request for meeting with council. Further letter to lord mayor. No response.

July 1: Letter requesting permission to Central Market. No response.

July 4: Further letter to Central market.

July 13: Council invites GLW to meeting.

July 17: Letter from Central market management denies GLW permission — no reason.

July 22: GLW finally meet with council. Officers restate need to pay fee but agree to further consider special circumstances.

July 23: Detailed request forwarded to council on GLW special circumstances
