A coalition of left organisations and climate activist groups, including Extinction Rebellion and Friends of the Earth, mobilised hundreds of people to a united climate rally on July 30 to demand zero emissions by 2035 and no new coal, gas or oil.

Speakers from School Strike 4 Climate and Blockade Australia (BA) addressed the rally. Tim from BA spoke about “the need to actively resist laws that criminalise environmental activists”.
