Congratulations on 400 issues
I've enjoyed reading Green Left for nearly 10 years. The coverage of world events over the past decade has been exemplary. There are few left publications in the world that consistently defend and fight for the interests of working people and the oppressed.
Green Left's defence of the East Timor people's fight for self determination especially after last year's referendum was a high point of revolutionary journalism. Only Green Left, on a weekly basis, took up the false arguments of many radicals who opposed the UN's military intervention against Indonesia's army and its arming of terrorist militias.
The paper's coverage of anti-racist fight backs and defence of the rights of the Aboriginal people, feminist and militant trade union struggles in Australia have also been invaluable. Finally, I consider the articles by comrades of Resistance, the youth supplement, as an important example.
Congratulations and continued success!

As we did with your 200th issue, Vietnam Veterans Against the War, Inc. would like to congratulate Green Left Weekly on the publication of its 400th issue. Our members have found it a useful source of information on a wide range of issues, especially your coverage and analysis of Kosovo and Indonesia. Here's to the next 400 issues!

Congratulations on your 400th issue. Green Left remains an important alternative for news and analysis as Australian media becomes more and more concentrated in the hands of a few. Best wishes,

Congratulations on your 400th issue and your splendid record in defending the just struggles of oppressed peoples against Imperialism, from the fight of the Timorese against Indonesian occupation to the struggle against the US blockade of Cuba.

My most important source of information on global struggles remains Green Left Weekly. Without it, we at the South African e-debate journal and listserve would be deeply impoverished.

I would just like to congratulate you on the 400th anniversary of Green Left Weekly.
Green Left Weekly is an invaluable resource for the workers' movement world-wide, a rare leftist publication in not being restricted to the "line" of a particular sect and being able to reach out to several different factions, as well as for being relevant for revolutionaries even thousands of miles from Australia.
Its sophisticated and confrontational style of revolutionary journalism has peeled away the lies of Australian capitalism to reveal its murderous and oppressive face. Not only that, but it has always been a champion of the oppressed particularly in Asia, as well as not shying away from showing the role of the Australian ruling class in oppression and exploitation in the most provocative manner to the working class.
And for young communists, Green Left Weekly always comes across as the youth face of a movement otherwise in crisis on a global scale, still, to an extent, dominated by the "old guard".
Here's to another 400 issues! Cheers,
