Cuba blockade costs jobs
According to a United States marketing consultant who visited Havana in May, the US economic blockade of Cuba prevents the creation of between 60,000 and 120,000 permanent jobs in the US. This is considered a conservative estimate.
John S. Kavulich, founder of Kavulich International Inc, represents a growing number of US business people who are in favour of opening economic relations with Cuba; they do not want to be excluded from such a solid and close market.
Kavulich, interviewed in Granma, pointed out that the US government decided to lift its embargo on Vietnam, but the siege of Cuba continues despite the fact that the reasons which "justify" the blockade of Cuba are few compared to those which were used to justify the embargo on Vietnam.
