Why

Amnesty International North-East Metro Group and Menzies for Palestine invite you to attend this thought-provoking documentary film screening.

Palestine Under Siege is a new documentary film shot in the middle of 2023 in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Israel, which takes you into the heart of the struggle for Palestinian self-determination. It highlights the human rights abuses suffered by the Palestinian people from the time of the 1948 Nakba, via personal interviews and in-depth research. Palestinian and Jewish human rights activists speak about the movement to dismantle Israeli apartheid.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A session featuring guests including Dr Bushra Othman, a Palestinian-Australian surgeon who recently returned from volunteering at Shuhada al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir Al-Balah, Gaza.

Doors open at 6.45 pm and the film will commence at 7 pm. The Q&A session will run until 9:30 pm.

Please note: All tickets are $12 (plus $0.80 per ticket booking fee). Patrons also have the option of donating to Olive Kids

Wheelchair accessible.
