'Let Nader debate'

PORTLAND, Oregon— US Green Party presidential nominee Ralph Nader and his vice-presidential candidate Winona LaDuke on August 28 filled the Portland Memorial Coliseum with 10,571 supporters who demanded that Nader be allowed in the televised presidential candidate debates. The rally, which followed an energetic four-day, nine-stop campaign tour through California, is the largest yet for the Nader's campaign, and the biggest for any presidential candidate this year.

The Nader campaign has raised more than $2 million with an average donation of under $100, and is not accepting corporate contributions or undeclared money. The Nader/LaDuke ticket is on the ballot in 38 states, and expects to be on at least 45 states by November. Visit <http://www.votenader.org> for more information about the campaign.

Help stop the NMD

GREENLAND — A chain of radar stations is a necessary part of the United States government's proposed new "Star Wars" (National Missile Defence) project. One of those is the Thule radar station in Greenland.

Although the majority of Greenlanders are opposed to becoming a missile target for the purpose of protecting the US aggressors from retaliation, and despite European Union opposition to the NMD, the social-democratic Danish government which rules Greenland has not yet decided to refuse US access to the station.

Since the Thule radar is indispensable to the NMD project, blocking its use may put an end to the project. Please send a letter to the Danish prime minister demanding that the government say no to the US. Email <stm@stm.dk> or fax +45 33 11 16 65. Please send a copy to <peoples@post4.tele.dk>.
