MELBOURNE — On September 17, the National Coalition of Palestine Solidarity Groups met in Melbourne to discuss joint campaigns for the upcoming year. The coalition agreed to support the campaign to boycott Israeli products and the "Disinvest from Israel" campaign, a speaking tour in 2006 of a Palestinian from Gaza and an Israeli military refuser, and a national day of action on November 29 against the illegal apartheid wall.

Melbourne activists at the meeting agreed to establish a new group called the Melbourne Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation of Palestine.
