To mark the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall, a direct action took place in Beit Hanina, a neighbourhood in Jerusalem.
Palestinian activists destroyed part of Israel's Apartheid Wall, which annexes Palestinian land and entrenches Israel occupation. In a 2004 International Court of Justice ruling, the Apartheid Wall was declared illegal and in direct contravention of international law.
International Solidarity Movement activists and international volunteers supported the Palestinian-led action, which involved demolishing a section of the Apartheid wall using a sledge hammer and a pick-axe.
