Palestine solidarity activists protested outside the office of Peter Khalil MP in Coburg, Naarm/Melbourne on February 1. It was the fifth action organised by Merri-bek and Northern Suburbs For Palestine aimed at getting Khalil to support a ceasefire.

Protesters, including Merri-bek Socialist Alliance councillor Sue Bolton, condemned Anthony Albanese for suspending Australia’s contribution to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) on the basis of allegations by Israel’s government.

Solidarity was also expressed with school teachers and health care workers who are being harassed for speaking out against the ongoing genocide.
