Poem: You

You

You steal their land —
you take their children —
incarcerate their young men
and too many died:
You apportion blame.
You assault their pride,
have you no shame?
Now you cut their education
it provides no exultation.
You undermine their health
as you improve your wealth.
You mine their land —
you farm their land —
do you ever wonder?
Can you understand
what you have done?
The race war drags on —
No!
you have not won.
