From the 24th July anti-war groups will be protesting the Indian Ocean Defence & Security Conference.
As part of this conference, Israeli weapons company Rafael systems will be doing a presentation about their "precision strike technology". This presentation is specifically pitched as drawing on "Rafael's recent contributions to facing challenges defending Israel's population in light of the attacks the country had to face". So - it is directly about the contribution Rafael has played in helping Israel slaughter over 37,000 Palestinians.
Students for Palestine WA will be protesting this specific event to voice our opposition to Rafael Systems being promoted and selling their weapons to more imperialist powers at this conference. This will be occurring at 12pm Thursday 25th July.
Curtin University is a major sponsor at this conference so students have to voice our active opposition to a conference promoting death and destruction.
