Protest: Palestinian refugees are welcome: permanent protection now

Actions, protests & rallies
Naarm/Melbourne

When

11:00am to 1:00pm Saturday 27 April

Where

Clare O'Neil's Office
17-19 Atherton Rd
Oakleigh VIC 3166
Australia

Why

Palestinians are fleeing the horrors in Gaza. But Labor is adding to their misery -- offering only a handful of tourist visas.

Some visas have even been cancelled while Palestinians are in transit.

Those Palestinian refugees who make it to Australia have no rights to work or access Medicare or other support, unlike those fleeing war in Ukraine.

Join us to protest at the office of Labor Home Affairs Minister, Clare O’Neil.

Speakers include:

* Afaf Alfawwal, Free Palestine Dandenong Action
* Amin Abbas, Melbourne for Palestine
* David Glanz, Refugee Action Collective
* Mai Saif, Free Palestine Melbourne
* Dr Geraldine Moore, Bayside Refugee Advocacy and Support Association
* Kevin Bain, Bayside Refugee Advocacy and Support Association

Endorsed by:

* Refugee Action Collective
* Free Palestine Melbourne
* Melbourne for Palestine
* Kingston for Palestine
* Free Palestine South East
* Free Palestine Dandenong

Calling for:

* Basic human rights: the right to work, healthcare, education and housing for all refugees
* Real protection from Israel’s genocide.
